Doesn't Microsoft already back up Microsoft 365?
Microsoft protects against failures on its own side. It won't hold onto things your users delete beyond the recycle bin window, and it can't roll your account back to before an attack. A separate backup covers both.
Can we restore a mailbox after the user's account is deleted?
Yes, if the mailbox was in the backup before the account was removed. We can restore it to another user or export it as a file for your records.
Does this include Teams chats?
